Buyer Tools is a mobile procurement application developed by Cross Atlantic Sourcing. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use Buyer Tools.
1 Local procurement data
Buyer Tools is designed as a local-first application. Procurement information entered by the user, including supplier offers, prices, quantities, purchasing criteria, calculations, Decision Cases and negotiation information, is stored locally on the user's device.
Cross Atlantic Sourcing does not receive, upload or remotely store this procurement data.
Buyer Tools does not require users to upload RFQs, drawings, supplier quotations, contracts or other confidential purchasing documents.
2 Accounts
Buyer Tools does not require or provide user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords or account credentials through the application.
3 Advertising
The Free version of Buyer Tools uses Google AdMob to display advertising, including an App Open Ad.
Google Mobile Ads and related Google services may process information such as device or advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and service operation.
Where required by law, users may be asked for consent regarding advertising and data processing.
Buyer Tools Pro Lifetime does not display advertising.
More information about Google's data practices is available in Google's privacy documentation.
4 In-app purchases
Buyer Tools Pro Lifetime is available as a one-time purchase through Google Play.
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Buyer Tools does not directly receive or store payment card information. Google Play may process purchase history and transaction information necessary to complete, verify and restore purchases.
5 Diagnostics and application performance
Third-party services used by Buyer Tools may process diagnostic and application performance information necessary to maintain service reliability, detect errors, prevent fraud and operate advertising or purchasing functionality.
6 Data sharing
Cross Atlantic Sourcing does not sell user data.
Certain technical data may be processed or shared with Google through services integrated into Buyer Tools, including:
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob
- Google User Messaging Platform
- Google Play Billing
- Google Play services
These services operate according to Google's own privacy policies and terms.
7 Data retention and deletion
Procurement data stored locally by Buyer Tools remains on the user's device until it is deleted by the user, the application data is cleared, or the application is uninstalled.
Buyer Tools does not maintain remote user accounts or a remote database containing users' procurement data.
Data processed independently by Google services is subject to Google's applicable retention and deletion policies.
8 Security
Buyer Tools is designed to minimize the transmission of confidential procurement information. Sensitive purchasing calculations and Decision Cases remain on the user's device.
Where data is transmitted by integrated third-party services, encrypted connections are used where supported by those services.
9 Children's privacy
Buyer Tools is a professional procurement utility and is not specifically directed at children.
